Civilization IV is not as much a sequel as it is the next step in evolution for the Civilization series. All of the in-game graphics are rendered in beautiful 3D with painstaking care given to detail. The diplomacy system has been given a complete overhaul, opening up many more options to players.

The AI has improved as well, but one of the most exciting improvements is combat – gone are the days when spearmen can defeat tanks… I’ve been playing Civilization since the release of the first version and I must say that this is the first sequel that required me to do an overhaul of how I play the game – it’s that different folks. Almost a year later and I’m still hooked. OMT, OMT, OMT!!!
