Apple's Mac App Store recently reviewed the thousands upon thousands of apps available in the store to choose their favorites for 2011. After what we can only assume was a very short deliberation, we are incredibly excited to announced that Sid Meier's Civilization V: Campaign Edition has been named the 2011 Mac App Game of the Year!

Civilization V: Campaign Edition includes the full base single-player game of Civilization V as well as select bonus content, including the Mongolian and Babylonian civilizations. Additional bonus content was recently made available through in-app purchasing so that players can enjoy even more civilizations, leaders, wonders, and maps.

In addition to Civilization V: Campaign Edition, several other Aspyr titles made the Mac App Store's "Best Of 2011" list, including the instant classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, fan-favorite RPG Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, and the gut-busting humorous Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition.

Aspyr is incredibly pleased that our games have been so well-received on the Mac App Store, and with another strong Mac App line-up coming in 2012, we look forward to taking home another Mac App Game of the Year title!
